Don’t despair when I am no longer with you. My physical presence will be replaced by the insistence of God. Perhaps. You will experience that insistence as an unheard inner call. Sometimes you will experience it as a nagging nudge or an invitation. It will be my Advocate, insisting on my behalf in the name of God. Perhaps. You are to repond to that calling by being a witness, in word and deed, to the Way I taught you. I know that this all is hard for you to comprehend. You become sad whenever I tell you that I must leave you. As a consolation, please be aware that my leaving will be to your advantage. After I am gone, that Advocate will call you to a very important ministry — namely, to demonstrate the depth and breadth of the Commonwealth of Peace and Justice. The world hasn’t listened to me; maybe they will listen to you. You are now the key to whether or not the Commonwealth will have any reality. Your actions will determine whether or not God is present in and for the world. Trust yourself and trust one another. When the Advocate draws a response out of you, and you work together with your brothers and sisters, great strides can be taken to bring peace and justice to the poor.
